City Meet 2017
The 2017 CCAA City Meet finished up on Sunday with plenty of fast times and without rain delay (first time since I've been swimming in the CCAA I'm pretty sure). This post is a collection of photos I took (and a few that some other people took) throughout the meet weekend!
Dressing up for relays is a dying tradition at City Meet so this year at Sha-Mel-Lon we decided the team would dress up for a different theme each day to get pumped up for the meet! The first day was Hawaiian theme, the second say was "Out of This World" so we had kids (and coaches) wearing neon colors and alien antenna, and the last day our stingrays showed their team spirit with good ole' red, white, and blue attire. It was a great weekend with many good races, lots of dabbing in the clerk of course, and plenty of smiles from everyone. I always get a little sad after each City Meet because it means swim season is done (this year especially because I was in New Zealand for the majority of the season) and I have to wait 9 months to see all of my kids again. But it also just makes the return to the pool in May that much more exciting. I hope you enjoy these pics and if you have kids I hope you sign them up for a summer league team next year!
